Author, minister, motivational speaker, Peak Perfomance Coach and Chicago native, Kevin Kitrell Ross was recently named one of the nation's "Thirty Young Leaders of Thirty of the Future" by Ebony magazine. The editors of Ebony describe the group, whose members are thirty or younger, as "the most talented and most giving of our younger generation. . . . These young leaders share a commitment to excellence and to helping others."

A 1999 Morehose graduate, Ross is the founder Miami’s Empowerment Institute, an empowerment-based motivational speaking, peca peformance coaching, and leadership development consulting firm that advances servant-leadership, promotes excellence, and spirituality as the catalyst for personal, organizational, and social transformation. Ross leads a thriving Peak Performance coaching practice and travels the world keynoting for natioanal profesional associations, high school and universities audiences, churches and civic groups inspirig people with practical principles how to design and live the lives of their dreams.

A powerful voice of his generation, Ross is the author of two books, Heavenly Words for Hard Times: A transformational Guide for Empowered Living and Living the Designer Life: Tools and Techniques for Creating the Life of Your Dreams. He is also author of four volume compact disc program entitled, The Empowerment Series:Motivational Messages for Personal Empowerment and Global Transformation.

Mentored and endorsed by some of the greatest profesional speakers and clergy, including Dr. Lawrence Edward Carter, Sr., Dr. Johnnie Colemon,Mr. Les Brown, Dr. John Gray, and Mr. Jack Canfield, Ross has aligned himself with the best in his field. In fact, Jack Canfield, co-creator of the all-time New York Times bestselling book series, Chicken Soup for the Soul, is writes about Kevin in his son to be released new book, The Success Principles.

Mr. Ross was featured as a "Successspert" in the June 2001 edition of Black Enterprise Magazine. He has also appeared as a guest on local and national talk shows, including a recently being seen on the Oprah Winfrey Show.

He is also the recipient of numerous awards including the 1998 Outstanding Young Man of America, Heritage Crest Visionary of Unity Award, presented at the Smithsonian, The Benjamin Elijah Mays Community Service Award, The Howard Swearer Student Humanitarian Award, presented at Tufts University, the WGN-TV Extra Effort Award , the Florida Memorial College Award of Excellence for Service to youth Mr. Ross is also listed in several Who's Who Publications including the 2000 edition of Marquis Who's Who in the World.

Rev. Ross has volunteered more that 5000 hours of community service, as an alumnus of AmeriCorps.

As a Morehouse student, Ross Founded The Student Empowerment Connection (TSEC), a national organization that mobilizes college students to develop enrichment and exposure programs for youth. For the last several years, TSEC has served, over 1000 elementary and high school students. He mentor seven youth and has raised nearly $250,000 to fund a variety of service-based and educational initiatives. Rev. Ross is a charter member of Project HERO, an aftercare program for ex-offenders and is a member of numerous social service organizations, including The World Season for Nonviolence, The Urban League and The Children's Defense Fund.

In fact, Rev. Ross was among a select delegation that presented former South African President Nelson Mandela with the Gandhi-King Award for Nonviolence in Cape Town, South Africa at the 1999 Parliament of the World's Religions.

Ross has worked and traveled throughout the United States and internationally to Europe, Africa, Canada, The Caribbean, and South America and credits his expertise to diverse experiences working with people on all levels from CEOs to celebrities, from educators to the uneducated, from world-renown athletes to the physically disabled.

After earning his undergraduate degree in Relgious Studies at Morehouse, Ross continued his studies at the Johnnie Colemon Institute (his denominational theological seminary) in Chicago, the Life Springs Basic, Advanced, Masters' and Leadership Courses in New York, The Essence of Being an array of workshops and trainings geared toward personal development and achievement throughout the country.

Ross also hosted "Daring to Make a Difference with Kevin Ross", a Chicago-based live cable television talk show geared at inspiring viewers to become victors over circumstance, positive transformers of community, and leaders of society.

Rev. Ross made history as the first person to be ordained in the Martín Luther King, Jr. International Chapel. In attendance were distinguished clergy including Father George Clements, The Reverend. Johnnie Colemon, and The Dr. Lawrence Edward Carter, Sr. Leading a non-traditional ministry, Ross’s misión is to wake the world up to its purpose,one person at a time and believes that the greatest service for each person is to become what he was created to be. He travels with world with his message, helping people to do just that, all before the age of thirty.
